Made of extruded aluminum and finished with die-cast ends, the housing does an excellent job of dissipating heat and protecting the LEDs from mechanical damage, such as branch impacts in the field. The entire unit has been coated with a matte black powder coating, and a tinted polycarbonate lens adds a discreet, modern look to the strip.  Half-cup reflectors provide a precisely directed beam of light in a combo (spot + flood) configuration - illuminating the road far in front of the vehicle and its shoulders. Thanks to the integrated mounting system, the strip can be installed in minutes - either at the front of the trunk or underneath, allowing it to be further secured and hidden."}
